Renee has arrived at Heyday at a particularly opportune time as we are enlarging and developing our commitment to children's books. She is working with our marketing, sales and publicity department, as well as with our development department, to shape the program from the ground up: writing lesson plans, researching awards and review media, and marketing to schools, libraries, and the book trade. She brings to this not only basic intelligence, a strong work ethic, and personal passion, but also her wide and varied experience as an educator and tutor for a diverse student body.
Renee Marchol conducted a training class for Everett Public Library staff. Our management wants us to make video productions in support of our library's operations. Six staff members attended: Digital Services Librarian, Adult Services Librarian, Youth Services Librarian, Northwest History Specialist, and Library Page. Three of this group are on the library's award-winning podcast team, one edits the library's blog, another, the library's newsletter. Some ideas for future projects arose: interviews with long-time Everett residents "StoryCorps-style", book trailer video-ads for books we want to promote, and looping the edited film in the lobby where patrons linger.
She worked on a tight timeline and gave us videos that will help us tell our story about helping create musical access for underprivileged children for years to come. I would recommend her to anyone needing this sort of media communication. In addition to her technical skills, Renee was a dream to work with. She is a collaborative person by nature but is also a very organized, independent worker.
My first time being involved in the making of a video in any way was easy and fun. She explained everything to me so I always felt like I knew what was going on and what I was supposed to do. Overall it was a great experience and I learned a lot.
Renee Marchol does an amazing job facilitating video production! She's especially great with logistics, such as storyboards and call sheets. She goes far beyond the "extra mile" - with an upbeat and encouraging attitude!
Fun to have on set and really good camera movement.
I met Renee at our CES, Intel Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV. From day one, Renee knew all the right questions to ask and made sure she had clear knowledge on what her role as an individual was and what her role on the team was. Renee is energetic, outgoing and a great teammate. I am looking forward to working with her again in the future!
Part of Renee's role includes onboarding newly hired ambassadors, assisting in training them, handling all new hire paperwork, and fielding questions from new and existing ambassadors.
Renee also helps track our social media promotions for our college ambassadors on a weekly basis. She helped implement a new process for tracking all of our social media ambassadors and integrated a new way to track and share noteworthy Facebook posts to serve as examples who are in need of additional guidance which has contributed to the success of our program.
Renee has been an absolute delight to work with. As the chief editor of the online magazine The Pomegranate Society, Renee has been an excellent staff writer. The quality of her contributions are reflected in the thoroughness and in-depth coverage of her reports.
Renee researched how libraries, locally and nationally, are using Twitter and tailored her presentation to include examples and practical information. The presentation also demonstrated how libraries are able to send out several tweets and posts, per hour, throughout the day, and during closed hours by scheduling tweets. Thank you to Renee for helping to move the library to the next level in effectively using social media.
Renee is a great facilitator for beginning workshops in film. I worked with her as a first-timer on a film set for Life-sized stop motion. She was great at engaging all members of our group, a proficient consensus builder, and fun to work with!

Renee was a pleasure to work with. Her positive outlook and eagerness were much appreciated in the fast paced, client driven world of search engine marketing.
After this incredible consulting experience with Renee, I am confident producing high-quality video on my own and capable to teach what Renee has taught me to the rest of the Development Team if needed.
Renee was enthusiastic, responsive and a pleasure to work with. Her work was well done and arrived ahead of schedule. Her notes were clear and well written in accordance with our style guide.
Renee is an intelligent, conscientious writer who is always willing to help out and assist with all projects. She has thorough knowledge of SEO practices. Though she provides extraordinary attention to detail, Renee never turns away a colleague who has a question or seeks guidance. She seems to have an innate sense for teaching and is always ready to suggest the most efficient process of tackling a project. Working with Renee was an absolute pleasure; she would be an asset to any team.
